Dr. Jens Heller
Jens Heller advises on all areas of national and international Contract, Commercial and Corporate law including M&A/Joint Ventures as well as Product Liability, Labour law and Compliance (particularly Antitrust law). As a litigator, he represents clients before ordinary courts and arbitration tribunals (in Germany and abroad).
Due to his (also intercultural) practical experience in the industry sector, Jens Heller offers interim management solutions in the areas of legal and compliance. He also advises companies in connection with the establishment and expansion of a tailor-made legal or compliance department.
Jens Heller was a lecturer in labor law at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Personalführung e.V. in Düsseldorf for several years. He regularly gives lectures, conducts workshops and in-house training courses, particularly in the areas of Antitrust Compliance, Product Liability, as well as legal issues and pitfalls e.g. in the automotive business. He also conducts compliance audits in Germany and abroad.
Jens Heller studied law at the Ruhr University in Bochum. After completing the first state exam, he wrote his dissertation and received his doctorate from the law faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University Munich in 2004. After completing his legal clerkship in Düsseldorf, including an assignment for several months in an US commercial law firm, Jens Heller was admitted to the bar in 2006. He worked as a research assistant at university chairs in Bochum and Munich during his studies and for several years thereafter.
In the following years, he worked for renowned commercial law firms in Essen, Berlin and Düsseldorf as a lawyer before having an assignment for around eight years as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Data Protection Officer at Kiekert Aktiengesellschaft (stock corporation), a large automotive supplier and global market leader for locking systems.
